Learn to Swim and Water Safety
Swim school is for children age 5 and up who want to learn to swim or improve technique. Oaklantis offers multiple levels of instruction and all swim school levels are geared towards preparing children to swim competitively.
Financial Aid Is Available
Oaklantis has a nobody turned away policy. Oaklantis offers financial aid to qualifying families to ensure that every kid in Oakland and the East Bay has the opportunity to swim.
Swim School Levels
Level 1: Ember Tetras
The first level of swim school. Students can enroll in this level without an assessment
Level 2: Neon Tetras
The second level of swim school. Students move to this level after they have completed the Ember Tetra level. Students can also enroll in this level by swim assessment.
Level 3: Glowlight Tetras
The third level of swim school. Students move to this level after they have completed the Neon Tetra level. Studends can also enroll in this level by swim assessment.
Pre Team
The final level of swim school. Students move to this level afer tehy have completed he Glowlight Tetra level. Students can also enroll in this levelby swim assessment.
Students in this class are getting ready to move to the swim team. They practice for an hour, twice a week.
